    Hi

    quick check with you

After updating a plugin from backend (admin page), the cache will be automatically wiped out and regenerated or the admin still need to do it manually?

Same goes to the process of updating the plugin from cli (wp plugin update xxx), will the cache be wiped and regenerated automatically?

    Please advise on this.

    Thank you

    Hello @futureyoon

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to answer.
No, the cache will not be automatically purged and rebuilt, so you need to do this manually.

Once any plugin is updated, or the W3TC itself, you should purge the cache. And since the cache is created once the page is visited, it does not automatically re-generate cached files, unless the Cache Preload is enabled and set up in the Performance>Page Cache settings.

    Thanks!
