  • Hi @alexanderkoch096,

When you get a chance, could you please share a full error log recorded when you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Email Test? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log. This will give us an idea of what might be going on.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    Thanks for your reply.

Sry but is there chance to have access to the full error log while using the free version?

The strange thing is, when I send a test email, it needs one minute to load and afterwards I will forwarded to the error 404 page of my site.

Second thing, my dev-site has hosting provider A, same WP-version all works fine. After transfer to real domain, different hosting provider B, not working 🙁

    Hope for your reply.

    Cheers,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for the additional information. It sounds like due to the incorrect SMTP settings, your server tries and tries (loads for one minute) to connect with the SMTP host you’ve specified and eventually timed-out and you got redirected to 404 page. Please contact your SMTP provider and get the correct SMTP settings. It might be that the hosting provider B is blocking outbound SMTP connection to the port you’re trying to connect to.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Sanjeev!

You said that I use the wrong SMTP settings maybe. In my case I use office365: https://imgur.com/a/qAC9Eup and my data works on provider A.

After website transfer to provider B, sending process failed – spinning circle, load and load.

I also found this solution in your support feed: https://imgur.com/a/T0KCmtA but I don´t know at the moment what i should do with this imformation …

    Have you got an idea?

    Hoping for your reply.

    Hi @alexanderkoch096,

did you contact your hosting company and asked them if they block the outbound SMTP connection? Maybe that’s what’s going on since this is the only change you made (switching hosting provider).

I would start with that and let us know what your hosting support will tell you.

    Take care!
