    Hi,

since the 5.7-Update (i think) EWWWIO shows me this strange notice bar about excessive re-optimization. An other user had this problem last year and it was discussed in an other thread.

I’ve read this thread, but it contains no solution for me.

So, what should i do next?

    Regards 🙂

First of all, you need to make sure you are on version 5.7.1 of EWWW IO.
The next step is to enable debugging on the Support tab of the EWWW IO settings.
Then, clear/dismiss the notice, and wait for it to come back (could be hours, could be a day or two).
Once the notice comes back do NOT clear it! Next, you need to go to Tools->EWWW Image Optimizer and click Show Re-optimized Images (at the bottom).
This will give you a list of all images that have been re-optimized with PHP trace logs showing the code-path of why they were re-optimized–EWWW IO won’t re-optimize an image unless the filesize is changed by some other plugin/theme.
You can post those trace logs here, or send them via https://ewww.io/contact-us/ and we can help you figure out where to go from there.
