• Each time I update the Contact Form 7 plugin the little spinning arrow GIF file link breaks, and shows the missing file icon.

When I inspect element its looking for the file ‘ajaz-loader.gif’ within a ‘images’ folder

When I look at my hosting files within plugins, there is no ‘images’ folder. So to fix it, each time I update the plugin I have to manually create a ‘images’ folder and upload my own loader GIF file

I’ve had this issue for many years but never looked to sort it properly

Any ideas why I am having this issue and how I fix it permantely?

    Thanks

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Wordfence Security and Yoast SEO, and clearing all cache data.

Ok will give that a try

So to confirm, part of the standard install comes with a ‘images’ folder that contains a file ‘ajax-loader.gif’ ??

    Thanks

    No.

This is the “standard install” => https://plugins.svn.ww.wp.xz.cn/contact-form-7/tags/6.0.2/

Strange, I’m not sure where the spinning arrow GIF ‘ajax-loader.gif’ is coming from then

Someone built the site for me a few years ago so I’m not sure how its all setup tbh

Does Contact Form 7 have any user notifications while the form is sending? e.g the spinning arrow to show its sending?

Do I still need the ‘MultiLine files for Contact Form 7’ plugin to allow me to allow multiple files to be uploaded on a single form send?
