    Hi everybody.
I have a problem that the images of the album in a page does not show up inline, but one below the other, like this:
    album
    album
    album

    I’m using this code: [ngg_images album_ids=”7″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album”] on a website with “Nextgen Gallery” 2.0.40 and WordPress 3.7.3.

Anybod know what’s the problem about? Any solutions?

    Thank you in advance.

@aliag – I would recommend updating at least NextGEN Gallery and more importantly WordPress core to current versions.

If the issue still persists, then it could be theme related, would you be able to share a link to show this issue as it appears on your site?

    Thanks!

I used it without problems until some week ago.
You can see the problem here: http://www.mundart-e.com/fotogallery/

    Thanks in advance.

@aliag As first thing it was recommended to you to update WordPress and NextGEN, but you still have 3.7.3 and 2.0.40 respectively. You can not get a lot of help while you have those old versions, besides the fact that you are running an insecure version of WordPress.
You should also try to activate the default WordPress theme and deactivate all other plugins testing if the problem still occurs.

Hi, I upgraded both WordPress and NextGen Gallery.
I had to upgrade WordPress only to the 3.8.3 version because I use qtranslate on that site too, and there is no a stable version of qtranlsate for 3.9.

The album are still shown like before, saying:
    album
    album
    album
instead of one next to the other as it should be…

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

@aliag – You appear to be describing the extended album display, have you tried the compact album display or if you are using a shortcode the template=compact parameter?

Now I’m using this code to call albums:

    [ngg_images album_ids="7" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album"]
    [ngg_images album_ids="7" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album"]
    [ngg_images album_ids="7" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_compact_album"]

like it’s said in your Short codes page here:
    http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-shortcodes/

I also tried to write them one after the other, (not one below the other), but there is no change.

@aliag – Using that “code” you are getting the layout to be expected.

If you want them to be side-by-side, create another album, put those albums into it and then call just the new album only.

    I’ll try this way.

The strange thing is that at the beginning the albums used to show up side-by-side. After a while the laout change, without we ‘ve done any change in the website.

I changed layout just because of this: I used the other layout before but after a while a big white area appeared around the thumbnail…

@aliag – There may be a theme component to this issue as well in that case.

Let us know how you make out.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
the way you told me worked, I mean that now the thumbnails of the album are shown side-by-side. But to see the photos in the album it’s a little longer path.
From the general page of the fotogallery (where there are all the thumbnails of the albums), I choose one album, and instead of opening the album (and see all the photos inside that album), I find the thumbnail of the album choosen and only after opened that I can see the photos.

Is that normal or is there some problem with that?

    thanks in advance

@aliag – I believe that reads correct, could you provide another link to the album, or is it still at the same location?
