Alignment not working on images

Good morning,

I recently started a new site, and found this theme to be the perfect one (almost)

The problem is, it isn’t holding the alignment on images.

I tested 8 themes in total, and they all managed to have the images aligned left, right or centre. Food Recipes does not.
I even tried variations of alignment and food recipes just does what it wants

There is also a minor image with the template when you are in a post – the featured image should have a line break after it, but instead it has stuff squeezed in to the right

Any way, it is a shame that its not working as so far it is our favourite theme design wise and without the bugs, is probably the one we are going to purchase.
