All conditional logic stopped working after changing website URL to https

    Hello! I had this message at the top of my Forminator dashboard:
    Forminator’s CSS style cannot be loaded because your website’s address is configured in WordPress to use HTTP instead of HTTPS. This may cause some web content, including Forminator forms, to display incorrectly.

    To address this issue, I changed the website address and site address from Http to https. After that, all of the conditional formatting on all of my forms stopped working. I have tried: 1) changing it back, 2) exporting one of the forms and importing it, 3) changing some of the fields. It seems to be something about the connecting with forminator and WordPress. I created a new form, and it seems to be behaving correctly, but given the time crunch of our situation and the number of forms, that is a less than ideal solution.

    Everything was working fine before I made the change (even though the message said things may not be working fine.).

    We are in the final week of a large retreat and any help you can give would be great. I have had to hide our main registration page because it is a mess right now due to the large amount of conditional logic.

    I figured out a solution. I exported it and imported it into another site, exported it from there, and imported it back to the original site. All seems fine.
    I am still interested if there is another suggestion fix.

    Glad to know that you managed to fix the issue. However, we’ll be happy to take a closer look at what might have caused it.

    Can you please let us know if you have caching enabled for this website? If yes, have you cleared it after fixing the site/home URL in WordPress settings?

    Would it be possible to share an export of the form before fixing the issue by re-importing so that we can take a closer look at this?

    Please share the form export using Google Drive or Pastebin.com.

    Thank you, I’ve imported and reviewed the form, but visibility conditions seem to be working fine. Do they actually work on your 2nd site after you import the form there?

    If the form works on the 2nd site, but not on the 1st site, it may indicate a conflict with some plugin or theme. In this case you may run a conflict test on a separate staging site (e.g. a cloned site, where you can replicate and troubleshoot the issue). It may help with identifying the conflict.

    We recommend running it in a staging environment, since it involves switching off plugins and changing the theme, which usually would affect the live site features on the frontend.

    I appreciate your response.

    The weird thing is there were no other changes to the site other than the change I mentioned in the first post. No updates to plug-ins, no new plug-ins, etc. And all of the forms that were created before no longer function with the conditional logic and the new ones do.

    Also, and I don’t know if this is related…for most of the day yesterday, notification e-mails were not being sent to anyone (admin, customer, etc). It worked when I had originally imported the form a day or so ago. Then, last night, it started working again.

    Our PHP is seriously outdated and can’t be updated due to an old theme. All of this will be updated in a few weeks. Could the outdated PHP be the issue?

    The PHP version could be related to this issue if you are using PHP 7.4 or lower versions forminator or lots of other plugin may not work as expected.

    Could you please share your site health info with us? you can find that in wp-admin -> tools -> site health -> info click on copy info to clipboard.

    Hi @wavewatcher,

    I tested whether the issue is related to old PHP version but it seems to work in my system when tested. I could notice console errors in your form page related to Cherryframework theme.

    The chances are high for a conflict, could you please run a conflict test as requested and see how it behaves? I don’t see any such test performed yet.

    Better to setup a staging site and run a conflict test in there and see how it goes? You can check with your hosting to setup a staging or can use the following plugin:

    Good morning! I appreciate the ideas and help. At this point, I am pretty sure this wasn’t a Forminator issue and was likely a temporary glitch that we may never know what happened.

    I will keep monitoring and open another ticket if an issue arises.
