All Forminator Forms Erroring

    Hi all,

    Not sure if this is happening to anyone else, but all of the sudden (without changes) all of our forminator registration forms are spitting out errors.

    It appears when someone registers through the form without making a credit card payment the form will correctly send the registration through, but it will give the user an error response “an error occured while processing the form. Please try again”

    When paying by credit card it fails entirely.

    Not sure if related, but searching for any form in the forminator backend tab is also not working all of the sudden.

    Also not sure if related, but currently updating forminator forms also gives me a “something went wrong” error, even though it then works.

    All these forms have been working fine for a long time, so I’m not sure where to begin investigating to fix them.

    Could please export your registration form and share it here using a third-party storage like Google Drive or Dropbox?

    I ran some tests on my site using the latest version of forminator but couldn’t replicate the issue so it might be something specific to your site to your form configuration.

    Thanks for the response Amin, Export isn’t working for me either, the dialogue box opens, a wheel spins, and then nothing comes out. Can you see the error while filling the form?

    As mentioned this happened to all of our forms overnight a few days ago, without changes. This suggests to me that forminator changed something?

    Hi @joelo246

    I can’t see any specific error on your website when trying to submit the form but it is more like a conflict issue, Could you please go to wp-admin -> tools -> site health -> info and copy/paste the site information here?

    Also, I suggest running a full conflict test by disabling all plugins and switching to a default theme. You may take a look at this document to learn more about how to do that.

    Hey guys,

    In addition to all forms giving users errors and credit card processing not working, the search function on the back end is no longer working. When I update forms it gives me an error on the backend “something went wrong” and when I make new forms it cant load templates. I cant load the export function you suggested either.

    Basically, it seems like the whole plugin is breaking down in different places.

    And to re-iterate, it was all working fine last week, and we didn’t make any changes that I’m aware of.

    Are you guys aware of any changes made on forminators end? I’m at a loss on how to investigate and fix this.

    Hope you’re doing well today!

    Are you guys aware of any changes made on forminators end?

    The changes in Forminator plugins are only made when we release a plugin update, from the changelog here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/forminator/#developers the latest Forminator update was released on 28th January 2025, based what you’ve mentioned it seems the forms were still working as expected after the update since you started noticing issues not until this week.

    However, it is important to know that there can be other factors on the website (like other plugin updates, theme updates etc) that can affect the website functionalities as well including other plugin functionalities.

    In this case, the best approach to further narrow down the issue would be to perform a conflict test as suggested in the previous response https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/all-forminator-forms-erroring/#post-18310001

    Please do let us know the results of the conflict test so that we can check further.

    Hey all,

    Thanks for all the help – my webmaster took your input and ran some tests, and what he found seems to validate the conflicting plugin theory. The culprit *seems* to have been the “Security WordPress” plugin. Once disabled, all the broken forminator functions seem to be working again.
