All screen displays are problematic

I am having display problems. Inside wordpress on the Bookpress book page, the move icon and trash icons are in the right sidebar.
When I attempt to preview – book or chapters – only a portion of the first page displays. Even on the cover only about 2/3 of the page displays. There is no pagination, and no way to advance to the next page. From the right side scroll bar, what is displaying is the only thing that exists. Inside the edit screens for say the chapters, there is a hidden margin setting on the left margin that pushes text into invisibility on the right margin.
Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere?

All sounds a bit odd! Can you check for plugin and theme clashes first? Switch all plugins off (except BP) and then see if the problem disappears. If so, then switch back on one at a time till the problem starts again. For themes, just switch to one of the standard wordpress themse.
Are you using Gutenberg? If so, try using the Classic mode plugin and see if that’s the cause.
This should test for a lot of possible causes. Let me know how you get on and if none of these options suggests the cause we might need to access your site (don’t post any details here)
