allow for different taxonomy

    This plug-in is excellent. It really fit most of my needs, but I ended up needing to change the code so that it used the “category” taxonomy rather than “event_cat” for other reasons on my site.

    It would be really nice is there was some way via the admin interface to choose the taxonomy.

    Hi,

    There’s a reason for not using the native “category” taxonomy and that’s because it creates confusion; events are another post type, so they will not be listed on the native post category page in your dashboard or frontend. And vice versa. At least, not without some major coding. So that’s why I use a custom taxonomy.
