Allow single quote in labels

Hi!

I have created some CPT, and in order to use them in a French backoffice, I need to put single quotes in labels. In French we often use a single quote (‘) instead of an apostrophe (’).

For example, the text of the “View item” label would be “View offer” in English, and “Voir l’offre” in French.

When I save this label, is saves “Voir loffre”, which is wrong.

Is there a way to use single quotes in labels with CPT UI ?
Or should we stick with apostrophes ?

I will need to revisit this one. It’s part of a change that went into the 1.0.x version, but I now realize doesn’t take into consideration some languages that need the apostrophes beyond just grammar conjunctions like “you’re”. “L’offre” would be one, as you pointed out above.

Thank you.
In the meantime, I will use real apostrophes, which work fine.
But other users on our backoffice may use single quotes, so a fix would be great.

Would you be willing to help test a version that hopefully adds the necessary single quote support for you? I can link you to a special version that isn’t merged into the main code yet.

I’d recommend using a development copy of the website in question if you have one.

I can test this version.
The project on which I use your plugin is currently in development phase, so I am not worried about testing things.
