Additional info for repeat-ability…
After restarting my browser I noticed that refreshing the page during the initial playing of the video works perfectly. Only when the video has fully played through once and looped back to the beginning can this refresh issue be observed.
Cheers!
Hi warpbubble,
I can’t seem to replicate your issue. What browser are you using?
Thanks,
Angus
Hey Angus, thanks for the reply.
I’m using Firefox 46.0.1 on Windows 7. It also seems to affect Firefox 46.0.0 running on my Android device (HTC One M8 running Lollipop), but as I said, for the initial playing, you can refresh all day and it works fine, but as soon as I let it fully play once and loop back to the beginning, a refresh causes the video to ‘Zoom’ in.
During the initial loop, it almost looks like it’s going to do it (I think the fall-back images is displayed for a moment with the same effect) but then it corrects itself a moment later. After the first loop, it stops correcting itself.
Just tested it on Chrome on the same 2 devices and it’s working just fine there (I see the same ‘zoomed-in-for-a-moment then self-correcting’ behavior. I can put up a quick vid to show you if that would help clarify what I’m seeing.
Thanks!
Hmm, well, the good news is at some point over the course of today the problem seems to have resolved itself. Most of the time it’s not happening at all, and occasionally I see the zoomed vid for a moment but then it self corrects.
The bad news is I’ve been messing about too much to tell you exactly what made the change. I cleared out unused themes, deleted unused plugins, set up another copy of wordpress at a 2nd domain on the same server, totally messed up my server briefly with some misguided configurations that killed both domains, finally got that fixed… and now the video is fine π I
If I ever work it out I’ll let you know, but for now, nothing to worry about! I’ll leave the above video up there in case it gives you any clues and just to prove I wasn’t crazy, hehe.
Thanks for the help and the great plugin!
