Hi @jedicolin,
Looking at the first image in your gallery it appears to be showing the Title correctly now. Is that the case?
As far as the Alt text – are you able to indicate what settings you have set for your FooGallery and FooBox captions?
I think I have sorted it out, thank you.
Hi @jedicolin,
That’s great to hear. I’ll mark this support request as resolved.
Sorry but having had another look I have not sorted it.
This is the info I put on for the photo:
Alt Text: 71000 ‘Duke of Gloucester’ and 60163 ‘Tornado’
Title: BR Standard Class 8P 4-6-2 Pacific No: 71000 ‘Duke of Gloucester’ and LNER A1 Class 4-6-2 No: 60163 ‘Tornado’ are seen passing through Totnes working the 1Z97 17.02 ‘Tamar Devonian’ Plymouth to Eastleigh on the 28th July 2012
When you go to the gallery and look at that photo it shows the ‘Alt Text’ as the title. Why? Surely it should show what I wrote for the title?
Just so you know, for now I have added what I wrote for the title back to the Alt text.
Hi @jedicolin,
Sorry for the delay. I’m going to do some more testing on this issue and see if I can duplicate it. I’ll get back to you with an update over the next few days.
Thank you, I will look forward to your reply.
Hello @phillcoxon
Just wondering if you have got an update yet.
Hi @jedicolin,
Apologies for the delay – I’ll be doing more testing on this today and/or tomorrow and will get back to yo uwith an update then.
Hello @phillcoxon
When I do a website audit it shows that my ALT sentence is too long.
This is what I usually do, example…..
ALT Text: I took this photograph in a field near the hood bridge on the 6th June 2020
Title: I took this photograph in a field near the hood bridge on the 6th June 2020
When I shorten the ALT Text…..
I took this photo near hood bridge on 6th June 2020
The ‘title’ ends up the same when I don’t even alter it.
Hello @phillcoxon
I know that you are a busy person but I would love your help please, thank you.
Hi @jedicolin,
Sorry for the delay – we’re in the process of making changes to captions which has added to the delay with testing.
Would you please email [email protected] and put “Attention: Phill” in the subject so I can work directly with you on this?
