Alternating & Recurring Date Features

    I like this plugin but I wish it had some alternating and recurring date features. I run a number of sites which need to display specific items (widgets) on a certain week of every month. There is another site which shows one set of widgets one week, then switches to an alternate set the week after. This sequence alternates all the way through the year. Currently I have to code this “switch” with PHP but it would be an ideal feature for Content Aware Sidebar.

    This sounds like an interesting use case. Would it be possible for you to share the code you have right now, so I can get an idea of how it could be generalized more?

    As you might know, it is already possible to schedule activation and deactivation of widget areas, and in the Pro version you can display them on different times and weekdays. But it is currently not possible to control the display for different weeks.
