• I’m making an experimental project which provides a method for the target audience to make an entry into a database and/or search the same database for information important to them. In order for the project to work I need to charge a nominal fee of $1 for either an entry or a search of the database. This provides funds for it to run plus acts as a reasonable spam/abuse prevention method.

However, the target audience is mostly made up of people with minimum wage jobs, the fee itself wouldn’t be a problem for them to afford but having a credit card or a Paypal account may be.

I am looking for suggestions as to how I could offer an alternative way for them to pay the fee. I was thinking maybe get them to fill out one of those paid for questionnaires then sending them a link to a private page which allows an entry or search to the db without payment.

If anyone has any better suggestions I would love to hear them 🙂

  • Hey there!

Why wouldn’t a PayPal donate button be feasible? If it’s just one dollar than that seems fair, I don’t know what type of website so I cant really judge further than that.

You can try incorporating some sort of thing where they can finish a survey with your referral link and then you get a certain monetary value if they do..

I’m lost to where and which website can offer something like that, I think you should consider the PayPal button but that’s just my two cents.

Maybe have the questionnaire as a backup if they cant pay with PayPal.
