• I’m a new user of WordPress (3.01) and am still exploring so I hope this request has not already been dealt with somewhere – I did search!

The site I am planning to use WP for is for a sports club. As such we have a committee – treasurer, secretary etc. We also have a membership secretary, whose job it is to verify new applicants for membership and generally keep our records up-to-date. So, I would like to know if the following is possible: When setting up WP, I have to provide an admin email address (which is currently mine). However, I should like the new member applications to be dealt with by our membership secretary, so I’d like to be able to have the emails advising of new registrations sent to him, whilst the various other admin emails still come to me as webmaster. Does anyone know if this is possible, please, and, if so, how?

    TIA

  • You can use contact form 7 plugin and create a contact us form and have that with your email address and then create another form and page for membership with all the fields you want on membership and put the email address of who ever is in charge of membership.

If a visitor files contact us form will come to you as webmaster and if they fill membership form that will sent to in charge person.

Thank you, but will the information the new user puts in the contact form populate the users table in the sql database, or will that have to be entered manually? I’m hoping to find something that does what the built-in registration process does (i.e. enters the user’s details in the DB) but then emails to a specified address which is not the board admin’s address. I can see that your solution addresses part of this problem, but perhaps not all of it?

I have not tried any of them but if you search a plugin I am sure you will find one that will do what you want.

thanks – will see what I can turn up. If anyone reading this happens to know of a solution, please post – I’d be very pleased to hear from you.
