Thanks for the update @lewiswolk.
I know I was told by your plugin to remove the tag from the header to avoid duplicate results which I did but now it appears as if google is not finding the tag from sitekit.
I checked your site just now and I can confirm that a Google Tag has been placed on your site (screenshot). Regarding why Google Analytics is staging the Google Tag isn’t found, I’ll check this, but it isn’t something that can be addressed on the Site Kit side. Thank you however for sharing, this certainly is worth investigating further, and this is something I will do. You can disregard this given your site is tracking with a Google Tag ID.
Google says “Confirmation Data collection is active in the past 48 hours.”
This is normal and expected if your site has just been connected to a new Google Analytics property.
yet when I use my ipvanish and set myself to for example Australia and go to my site in incognito no data is being shown in Realtime screen no matter how many pages I change to on my site.
If you’re not seeing traffic in the real time reporting tool, there can be a number of reasons, including but not limited to the following:
- You’re visiting your site while logged into your site )even incognito), with the default configuration within Site Kit set to not include logged in traffic.
- A VPN or IPVanish configuration, as they may block reporting.
- A consent management plugin or feature. I didn’t notice any such plugin on your site, but it’s possible you may have used something previously.
Given it’s been a couple of days, I suspect you will see traffic shortly if not already present. Do let me know.
Also it shows no visitors in past 48 hours but my jetpack says there were visitors.
JetPack stats work differently to Google Analytics. They don’t use the same reporting metrics, so it’s normal that they may have different tools and measurement methods that report at different frequencies.
What you may wish to do, should you have further questions on this, is to open a new support topic. We can investigate from there as opposed to here from the reviews section. I’d be happy to investigate or work with you to check for any possible issues, or to answer any questions. Thank you!
