Amazon Workmail support?

    Hi!

    I’m aware the plug-in supports Amazon SES to email WordPress notifications (with the Pro version), but can you use Amazon Workmail as well?

    We’ve used Google Workspace and Gmail on several projects as a cheap alternative for both webmail and sending emails, but we’re now looking to replace Google’s with the Amazon alternative to Google Workspace (at least in terms of emailing). I’m trying to understand if Workmail would serve as an alternative or if we should just discard this option.

    Perhaps the mailer needs to be set up as if it were a generic SMTP?
    I haven’t been able to find any info online, or whether the free plugin supports such integration.

    Hi @ipugliano,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    It is possible to use the Other SMTP mailer option under WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page to connect with your Amazon SES email account, but it is the least recommended option, because you may face server-related issues such as blocked ports, Firewall related issues, and ModRewrite issues, etc.

    To obtain your SMTP credentials, you may follow this guide.

    For the Amazon WorkMail, could you please try following this guide and you should be able to find more information. Or else, please get in touch with their support.
