    Since I installed this plugin a couple of weeks ago, all customers using their Amex cards have been unable to use them. Before that, when just using the standard paypal gateway we never had a problem accepting amex.

    Do you have any suggestions about what might be wrong? We’re losing sales and could really use some help.

    This plugin doesn’t interfere with the standard paypal checkout of woocommerce at all. The standard paypal checkout happens on PayPal’s site and they can use whatever card paypal accepts.

    This addon is ONLY responsible for transaction done via the paypal pro gateway. You need to make sure that your merchant account has permission to accept amex card via the paypal pro API. paypal support can confirm if your account can accept amex card.

    Hello Martin,

    I am also getting the same issue… Does the above solution provided(to check with paypal support) works for you?

    javied, yes, it worked. We got in touch with PayPal and they walked us through the steps needed to get the card accepted. They said that it wasn’t unusual to have the problem with Amex. Everything’s been working fine now for the last couple of weeks.
