AMP pages are not valid

I don’t know but from some days my AMP pages are disappearing from the search.
It seems like the issue is not only with me.

After looking at their support forum, it looks like a recent update to the Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin has caused the same issue for other users:

We recommend using the official AMP plugin as the AddThis plugin is now working in conjunction with it:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/amp/

Even though we haven’t been able to re-create the issue on our end, we have still created a bug report because we are dedicated to solve this problem: https://github.com/ahmedkaludi/accelerated-mobile-pages/issues/3068

We still need more information on this from you guys.

This issue was caused because of the AddThis plugin. They seemed to have fixed this issue with the update.

Please do and confirm, otherwise we will debug this further.

Same issue here… not using addthis plugin and addthis function is disabled on ampforwp config

I feel this issue happens only on pages… not posts…..

Same issue. I don’t use addthis plugin and it’s not installed but my pages became invalid.
It happens only on pages – not posts.
First, Google Search console has sent me a message that my pages are not valid because “An AMP component ‘script’ tag is present, but unused.”
I’ve checked the pages with AMP validator that said “The extension ‘amp-addthis’ was found on this page, but is unused. Please remove this extension.”
I’ve checked with Google AMP test that said the same.
Actually, I’m not sure it has anything to do with the addthis plugin.
It started recently, maybe even today. Could it be connected with the last wordpress update?

It’s a bug that they promise to fix tomorrow. Till then please enable AMP>Design>Social>Enable AddThis (Enable this) then your issue resolved.

I didn’t do that because I don’t have AddThis. It works without it.

We have got the solution to this problem. We will fix this in the .52 update which we are planning to push to tomorrow.

After updating to that version, it should be fixed automatically.

jorgitobg, if/when you install this .52 update, you have to immediately disable AddThis in AMPforWP settings (the temporary solution above), otherwise, all your posts will become invalid. I have made it with a 10 minutes delay, and two hours later I received a message from Google ZSearch Console that 233 of my posts are invalid (in fact, many times more than that). It’s awful! I’m losing my AMP traffic every day.
