AMP plugin causing display issues on homepage

    Hi,

    When I activate the AMP plugin (which I need to do for Monster Insights to work correctly), the slider and grid on my homepage don’t display properly. Can someone help with this please?

    Hello @thepolyphony

    Thank you for contacting us, AMP (Framework) does not allow custom javascript on AMP pages, so the AMP plugin blocks them to create a valid AMP page.

    This is reason why most features that are based on javascript ie. slider and grid etc won’t work on AMP pages.

    AMP provides alternatives for those features in form of components such as amp-carousel which can be used to display sliders.

    What you can do?

    1. Check if you use an alternative for the current feature eg: default WordPress gallery can be used to display the AMP carousel

    2. If you are seeing too many features are broken on a page turn off AMP for that particular page from backend.

    3. If you find that most of themes features are breaking then please choose Reader Mode with another theme, your primary theme will remain the same only AMP pages will be served from Reader Themes
