@tompkinsjournal thanks for your inquiry! A great way to add tracking for your AMP pages is the Site Kit plugin. It detects AMP pages and can appropriately place the correct Analytics and Tag Manager container tracking snippets for them. Feel free to give it a try!
@reneesoffice I loved Google Site Kit when it was working.
The problem is the plugin keeps looping from “Start Setup” to “Start Setup.”
1) After selecting “Start Setup” I select my Google account.
2) I give the plugin access and it says “go to your dashboard.”
3) I go to my Site Kit dashboard and it says “Sign in to Google to configure SiteKit.”
To solve the problem, I’ve chosen “Reset SiteKit” and remove authorization for SiteKit. All with the same result.
@tompkinsjournal Did you raise a support topic on the Site Kit forums? I’m confident it’s possible to troubleshoot your specific case.
You can also use the AMP plugins Analytics tab if you prefer, with details below:
https://amp-wp.org/documentation/playbooks/analytics/
@jamesosborne I’ve added to an existing Site Kit support topic ‘Can’t Get Past “Sign-in with Google”‘.
I’m using the AMP plugin’s Analytics tab.
@tompkinsjournal If using Site Kit please only activate the Analytics module and allow Site Kit to place the tracking code snippet. You can then remove any existing Analytics tracking from the amp plugin, other plugins or theme feature.
If you want to share your Site Health information and site URL I can see if everything looks setup as it should be.
