I consistently get the following errors on my web stories:

    1. A mandatory AMP HTML tag is missing from this document.
Instance: “The mandatory tag ‘html !doctype’ is missing or incorrect.”
    2. The parent tag of tag ‘html’ must be ‘!doctype’.
Instance: “The parent tag of tag ‘html’ is ‘$root’, but it can only be ‘!doctype’.”
    3. A tag on this page requires an AMP component ‘script’ tag, which is missing.
Instance: “The tag ‘amp-story-auto-analytics’ requires including the ‘amp-story-auto-analytics'”

I do not wish to share my domain publicly. Can you give a secure way?

I tested removing the Ezoic plugin (I run ads) entirely and it appeared to fix it temporarily. But I need a combined solution. I have contacted their support and waiting for some advice but I haven’t heard back for a week already.

I am hoping someone from the web stories team has some insight as to why this is happening and possible solutions?

I can confirm I am also using Breeze as a caching plugin, but playing around with its settings and reducing the optimizing didn’t seem to have any effect. Temporarily disabling the Ezoic plugin entirely did.

  • Hi @joebl thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re getting AMP validation errors on your Stories when you have the Ezoic plugin active. Unfortunately, we have seen this before and it’s something that Ezoic will need to address on their side.

It could be related to a specific setting in the Ezoic plugin but I can’t say for sure. Have you tried switching certain settings off in the plugin one at a time to see if it is linked to a particular one?

Since we haven’t received any further response we will mark this topic as resolved. Should you require any further support with this please feel free to reopen this topic, or create a new one for other issues/questions. Thanks!
