AMP YOAST JSON-LD

Featured image is to small for AMP. Can I change metadata for AMP? Just only images smaller than 1200 px wide. Any filter? Any action?

Looking for the same answer.
@perseusp The featured image isn’t something specific to Yoast SEO plugin but specific to the AMP plugin you’re using. If you’d like to change the featured image size, you will need to reach out the relevant AMP plugin support for further assistance on this.
This same goes for the meta data unless you’re referring a metadata which is specific to Yoast SEO.
Yoast SEO rewrites metadata, even if I changed metadata for AMP, Yoast SEO has control.
Hello @mazedulislamkhan,
Could you please look into this thread as well? Basically, just need your expert advice in either modifying the underlying code (1) or to disable the specific schema (2).
(1) Change to default featured image (article schema #primaryimage)
(2) How to disable or change #primaryimage schema
Note: The ‘primary image’ issue ‘only occurs after Yoast version 11.1.1 update.
Thanks in advance for your time.
@perseusp That’s right, Yoast SEO generates AMP specific metadata. If you’d like to override this, would you mind elaborating more on why and what exactly you’d like to change?
@ihealthcareanalyst If you’re experiencing an issue and need assistance, please submit a new topic instead of posting it here and we’d be happy to address this.
As I’ve already written. We need to optimize older articles for AMP, thousands. Older articles do not meet the preview image requirements.
Thanks. Its already posted it here in a new topic. Looking forward to your help.
Change to default featured image (article schema #primaryimage)
@perseusp Can you please share a screenshot in which you highlight the preview image you’re referring here in the AMP page on your site which is specific to Yoast SEO so that we can take a look at it and assist you better?
@ihealthcareanalyst We’ll respond you soon over there.
I’m sorry, I don’t understand the request. It is featured image. I would need the possibility to change through the code.
The issue is is with this image: https://dotekomanie.cz/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/fire-527×310.png. Google is saying it fails to meet AMP’s image requirements. AMP needs the image to be a minimum width of 1200px. In the source code the image width is 527px. See: https://pasteboard.co/Inbl8nyE.png
To resolve the issue you will need to increase the width. If you do that, does the issue resolve? If you are not sure how to increase the width of the image you may need to speak to your theme developer or look for a plugin in the repository here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins that can edit images.
Note, that we also have an open issue related to letting you know if your images are too small here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/13111. We suggest commenting on it so you may be aware of updates. You may need an account in order to post.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
