An error occurred while processing the form – but it DOES send!

    Users often (but not always) get the error message “An error occurred while processing the form. Please try again”, but the message/emails ARE sent. This means we get forms re-submitted numerous times.

    We have 7 forms and it seems to happen to all of them, but not all the time!

    There are no errors showing in server logs
    Are there any known conflicts or other reasons this could happen sometimes?

    Hello @lippy

    I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with Forminator. Can you please try these two workarounds to see which one may fix your issue?

    Edit the form, under the Behavior section, change the setting “Load form using AJAX”, then save the form. Then check if the form loads in the page where you added it. This change shouldn’t affect how the form looks and your visitors shouldn’t notice any change, but this setting changes the way the form is loaded. It’s possible that some components of your site may not work well with the current setting you have, so please change it and see if that fixes the issue.

    Another option is to change the way the form is submitted. By default it uses AJAX, but again, in the Behavior section of the form when you edit it, there is an option to change the “Method” to submit the form. Change it from “Ajax” to “Page reload” and see how the form behaves. Please try these and let us know if you notice any changes.

    Thank you, I changed the way they are submitted from ‘Ajax’ to ‘Page reload’ and this seems to have resolved the issue in most cases
