We have been running a woocommerce store for two years. We’re running wordpress v.5.8.4 and woocommerce v.6.3.1
We have 22 pending orders from the last 24 hours.

If I run a woocommerce->report->orders->sales by date to show the orders today, it reports 21 orders and net sales of £1055, which is correct.

If I run an analytics->orders->today is reports 14 orders and a net sales of £635.

How is that possible? We changed to a sellxed woocommerce payment plugin yesterday, is it possible the reports and analytics are pulling the data from different places, and how do we even begin to debug that?

    Any help very welcome!

I’ve done some digging and it definitely started yesterday, which is when we started using sellxed. Seems very strange that reports and analytics are pulling different data.
I’m getting terrified now that sellxed is borking my data!

Any debugging I could do would be much appreciated as I need to send them some data to prove the problem.

    Hello @murrayelliot2,

There may be plugins conflicting with these reports. So, we recommend that you perform a conflict test following this guide and checking if anything changes.

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Also, since it’s a small date range you can search for those orders in WooCommerce > Orders and compare with the reports to see which one is failing.

Lastly, please note that WooCommerce Reports are deprecated and won’t receive further updates. It’s best to head on over to the WooCommerce Analytics that replaced those reports and will be constantly updated.

    Cheers.

Thanks @rainfallnixfig . I recognise that reports are going away, which is why it worries me that the reports are correct (and correlate with my orders) and the analytics are missing some orders.

it would seem odd if Analytics and Reports are getting their data from different sources.

    Hi @murrayelliot2

There are more features available with Analytics – which can show more in-depth data of your store: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-analytics/

As for the sales data in your Analytics, do you have excluded statuses set under Analytics > Settings? Depending on how this is set, the data can be different between Reports and Analytics.

Thanks @maykato agree, looking forward to moving to Analytics toolset, I’ve been using it recently and very happy with it, but latest issue has created doubt in my mind as to what might be wrong with my orders data. Everything else looks ok (reports, orders pages)

I have excluded everything except processing, on hold and completed. (default settings I believe)

    Hi there,

I have excluded everything except processing, on hold and completed

So your Analytics settings look like this, right?

I double-checked and wasn’t able to reproduce what you describe. I counted 10 test orders on my local staging site with the status Processing, On hold, and Completed for the period March 7-13. The same number of orders are correctly shown in Analytics and Reports.
