Analytics g4 code

    Hello,
    I’m not using the site-kit plugin. I like to do some things manually. However, the Google Analytics tracking code in the Web Stories plugin does not work with the existing Google Analytics g4 code. What should I do for this? Should I also create a new property?

    Hi @halilesen thanks for your question. Currently, Web Stories supports using Universal Analytics (UA) for tracking.

    We’ll be updating the plugin settings accordingly to support the transition to GA4. For now, we recommend setting up and using UA until it sunsets on July 1, 2023.

    You can as you mentioned use the Site kit plugin to create and place a GA4 snippet on your site or you could do this yourself manually by following the guides on the Analytics Help Center.
