    Hey guys,

Love the plugin! I’ve got two quick questions.

    1. Google Analytics is giving me some anomaly warnings regarding my bounce rate. Does that sound normal? It is currently at 8.38%, down from around 80%. Is that right? Here is the GA message:

Anomaly Detected: Your Bounce Rate of 8.67% last week was lower than forecast
We forecast Bounce Rate of 9.95%-80.32% for Apr 30 – May 6, 2018, and your actual Bounce Rate of 8.67% is significantly lower than this range.

    2. In regards to GDPR compliancy, does this plugin have any impact on sending EU IPs or anything like that. I don’t really understand the GDPR, but thought you guys might know if this plugin affects anything.

Thanks a lot and keep up the great work!
    Jules

    Hi,

    1. The GA message was probably from a filter that’s present. Nothing to worry about. Google doesn’t use your bounce rate stats anyway. Looks like the plugin is doing its job well.

    2. No personal data is being collected. Events are part of Google Analytics, I only created some extra events. No IP addresses were sent to GA. If people don’t want to be tracked by GA they should install a browser plugin. In your privacy policy you could write:

We use Google Analytics to analyze how users interact with our website so we can understand better what elements of the design are working well and which are not working so well. This allows us to improve and develop the quality of the online experience we offer all our users. This data cannot be traced back to a single person. If you don’t want your data to be collect by Google Analytics you should download browser add-on that can be found here https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and install it. Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google may be retrieved under https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ and under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html. Google Analytics is further explained under the following link https://www.google.com/analytics/.
