Analytics not working?

    I updated my website and created a new GA4-property in Google Analytics.

    With Site Kit I want to track the visitors of the website and I have linked Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Merchant Center …

    However, I don’t see the expected views. Two days ago a minimum of 20 people visited my website through instagram, but I only see 4 visitors.

    Yesterday a minimum of 40 people visited my website through an e-mail newsletter, but I only see 1 visitor.

    I followed all setup instructions in Google Analytics, but had trouble with the one where i had to link the Complianz Cookie Wall. Is this the reason of my low visitors?

    Can I get help on setting it up properly?

    Thanks for reaching out @liesc. I checked your site both manually and using the tagassistant.google.com service. From doing so I can see that site visits are recording (screenshot) at present. This is regardless of me granting explicit consent with your consent management plugin.

    If you’re finding that you did have more traffic that was not accounted for, did you have consent mode enabled at some point, or did you configure your consent management plugin to not track visitors until they do grant explicit consent? I can’t be sure, but I can confirm that consent mode is not enabled at present, and Site Kit is working as expected with visits firing, and a standard Google Analytics snippet placed without modification.

    Do let me know if you wish to enabled consent mode once more. If enabled, it’s always possible that your site visitors may go slightly down, as in some regions their visit won’t be accounted for until they grant consent. You’ll find more on this here.
