Analytics Skewed when Display Name changes

Hi.

I posted a support question before, but it’s almost been 4 months and with not even someone popping in to check.

In case I’ve been missed, I’ll re-post what I said.

Basically, Custom Dimensions for Author sets using display name and not login name on front/tracking-analytics.php line 36.

Now, what this does is when users change their display name it skews the data, having numerous logs for 1 user.

Can you add a filter handle that I could use in functions.php or option in the admin to use login name since that cannot be changed?

I could change it manually, but with every update to the plugin, this means I have to change it manually myself. And can you imagine if I forget altogether?

Anyways, I would appreciate it if something could be done.
