Glad to help. I’m not sure what might be happening, but looking at your page it seems that you are using some other plugin to add the Google Analytic tracking code. I don’t see the tracking code that is added by this plugin.
Hi,
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly. This was a plugin I’d used previously. I cleared the cache and I can now see the tag I added via the GA Google Analytics plugin (even though I can’t see this in the plugin on the website).
However, in analytics the reports menu is still showing Real Time, Acquisition, Engagement and Monitisation rather than Realtime, Audience, Acquisition and Behavior.
Is that right? Or have I set the analytics up wrong?
Glad to help. Here’s the deal, the plugin only adds a small bit of tracking code. That’s it. Everything else — all of the crawling, collecting data, etc. — that’s all on google. So that in mind, it looks like the plugin is doing its part and adding the required tracking code. From there if something is not working, you can double-check that your tracking ID is correct, and/or ask for help in the google support forum. There someone with “google powers” will be able to help with your GA account.
I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further infos.
Thanks Jeff,
Yes, you’re right – the plugin was indeed doing it’s thing. It was me I’d set the property up wrong, I’ve now fixed it. So sorry to have wasted your time.
Thanks again.
Lisa.
Hi Lisa, no problem at all.
Glad you got it sorted.
Cheers.
