anchor links not working with https

Hi!

I tried to find a support topic where my problem is already discussed, as I do not think that no one else has it, but was not able to find. So I decided to post, please excuse if this topic is not new.

I recently started with TranslatePress to add a second language. All works fine as long I access with http. But when I switch to https, Anchor Links are no more translated and still point to the original file in my first language.
When logged in with https, I also no more have the option to set the Anchor Links in the second language.

On page
http://www.optronic.ch/en/files/
all is fine, all links point to the english documents, for example the left topmost one:
http://www.optronic.ch/download/doc/sensors/Light_Curtain_LVMC_Flyer.pdf

But when accessing
https://www.optronic.ch/en/files/
the german files are presented, for the same link:
http://www.optronic.ch/download/doc/sensors/Lichtvorhang_LVMC_Flyer.pdf

Does anyone know a solution? – Thanks for your help!

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

Do you have an HTTPS/SSL plugin? If so, deactivate it, visit WordPress -> Settings -> General, make sure the home url and site url have HTTPS in them –> save –> then reactivate the HTTPS/SSL plugin.

If the problem happens only on the homepage, check if you already have a resource, page or media, with that same slug as the language (such as “en”, “fr”, “de”…).
To test this, check with TranslatePress deactivated if the homepage plus the language slug already points to something. So for example access https://example.com/en/. To solve it, rename the slug of that existing media or page to something else.

Also, please re-save permalinks and see if that helps.

A wordpress plugin? – No.

What do you mean by “only on the homepage”? – It is also the case, that the TranslatePress Plugin no more offers the anchor links for translation as soon as I access by https. All is fine with http.

There is no folder in the filesystem named ‘en’.
To fully check as you advised: Can I just deactivate the plugin without loosing any translations entered?

I just hit on “Save Changes” on Settings->Permalinks. Is it that what you asked me to do? – The problem is still present.
