Anniversary mode for posts

Just noticed that anniversary mode shows posts posted on current viewing day and month, regardless of the date of the post shown.
How do I set it so that it shows previous posts with the same day and month as the post itself? Eg. post 2015-02-01 to show posts 2014-02-01, 2012-02-01, 2009-02-01; post 2015-01-31 to show posts 2014-01-31, 2008-01-31, etc?
