Annoying title width
-
Hi there! I was playing with a 20 23 theme, and that’s how each page title looks like during editing. It’s so annoying! I created new templates, changed previous ones – nothing helped. It’s hard to say how I did that, I believe I deleted titles in the templates, then added them. And now it is always shown with so small width

while in the website page it whown as in the template 111
Hi @y111, I suspect this might be related to the general layout width settings on the theme, as illustrated in the video below:
Could you share a link to the site where you’re experiencing this?
You saved my eyes during editing!) Thank you! I chanced these settings in every group, but that did not help, as it was set where you showed.
I thought the topic is resolved, but when I change general width and width for content in the general layout (where you showed me), some strange things are happend.
I don’t get how that works. I want to have width 95, content width 90. But images to be fullwidth. So
I do that in main layout settings:

my page template settings:

Then on my page settings I create group, disable layout button for that group, and have no options to make my gallery fullwidth, because all my text and gallery in that group are fullwidth. Why is that happening?
Ok, in styles layout I set 95 for width, 90 for content.
In page template I switch on the Layout options (but don’t fill them, they are not set, empty)
Then on my page I create a group where I switch layout options too (but they are empty too). I hope if I don’t set them, that means that the previous step will define that option. So if the template keeps Layout working, but doesn’t set parameters, everything take its’ numbers from ain Layuot.
So in group I create gallery, and see really options:

This might work. I set up “full width”, open page – and it doesn’t fit from left to right on the screen. It works as “none”. Why is that?
I think something goes wrong here
But, if I set that settings in Layout, then switch off in the content (in my template), and then on a page with that template will create a group, switch on a layout option, and put there nothing (leave them blank), my gallery start work as supposed – fullwidth become a fullwidth. So It is a bug there, I suppose
Mmmm… it looks like your are following the correct steps. Could you share a link to your site so I can take a direct look? Thank you!
Do you need to be logged in to see how that works?

Hey @y111, thank you for the link! I could be wrong but I suspect that this is what is causing ALL your content to be too wide:
Could you change that setting to be, say 1200px and see what happens?
Hi there @y111 – just checking in to see if you still need help with this or did you get it sorted?
Yes, I figured out how that works. The problem was, that when I created my page and used a group there, a new group not always had a settings to change it’s width according to the stack above (content, wide, fullwidth), and that made a mess. Maybe that happend because in the main layout I left settings I played with as Wide – 90vw, content – set nothing (or set 90px) – I don’t remember clear.
Now it works – main layout, theme page layuot, and page layout. When tried to find if that hipothes of mistake works a weak-two ago, new groups had no settings on a width, now they have. My theme had no updates from wordpress. That is the picture for today, I think the theme can be closed, thank Alvaro and others.
Glad things seem to have gotten sorted on this one. I’ll mark it as resolved, but feel free to start a new topic if you need further help!
