Another Subscriber count issue by JetPack

    I recently received a comment where someone wanted to follow and subscribe via email and she said she was having trouble trying to follow. She kept putting in her email address and kept getting a notice asking for her email address.

    I went onto my home page where she would be adding her email address to follow and added her email address on my side and it looked like it took. I didn’t get any repeated notices asking for her email address.

    She let me know she got a notice in her inbox to follow and thanked me for it but she is still not showing up as an email follower in my stats.

    Can you help? I’ve had subscriber/follower count issues before and they have been resolved and corrected to match but I’ve never heard of this before and wonder if there have been others that have wanted to follow my site via email and had issues.

    I tried using the form on your site, and it seems to be working properly. I subscribed to your blog, and you can now see my email address in your subscriber list.

    If you’d like, you can send me an email via this contact form and mention this thread, as well the email address of your reader and we’ll take a look at our email logs to find out what happened.

    Hi Jeremy — I see that you subscribed on my site and that you are listed under my email subscribers. So, it looks like it’s working. I sent you a contact form email with her information to further check as you recommended. (I also sent you an email from my laptop before I saw the contact form — sorry for double-duty.)

    I still don’t see my reader’s name listed as an email subscriber even though she said she got an email notification to follow after I added her email on my side.

    That’s my concern is if she’ll get notifications of new posts or not if she’s not listed.
