Any chance the plugin will support variable subscriptions soon?
-
I would love to try this out and switch over but I use variable subscriptions a lot. This info was buried on the setup guide and should be in your FAQ on the plugin page.
Also, your article on Illinois Sales Tax rates, thresholds, and registration guide scared me for a second. It says “If you’re selling digital services and products to customers in Illinois, then you might be liable for Illinois’ sales tax” but in another article on your site you say you only pay sales on tangible products in Illinois.
That made me waste a lot of time going down a rabbit hole I didn’t need to (I had already researched it before) just to double check that digital products and most services aren’t taxed. There is no “might”.
This kind of thing makes me doubt your plugin will be accurate or easy to use.
Like, you don’t say what falls under the “Consulting” tax code. Or what to do if I offer a service where I meet clients in person locally that isn’t taxable in my state. (I also offer it online so I assume it would fall under e-Service regardless but that took me a few hours to figure out and it shouldn’t be that hard.)
I want to test it and like it but it’s obviously not going to work for me without variable subscriptions.
Thanks for any insight!
