Any documentation for classes and methods?

Hello,
I read in the codex here, about getting categories.
In the examples you see:

$category->description
$category->name

and other methods of certain objects.

Is there a documentation, for all those object classes and their methods?
It is really useful if you want to have more control over your theme when you develop.
