Any facility to outsource packaging?

    Hello,

    I have noticed a lot of integrations with WooComm and their own wrt to payment, shipping, etc. but none for packaging. What I mean by packaging is – before a product is shipped it needs to be packaged, specially when the inventory is being picked up directly from our local store/warehouse/vendors.

    I wanted to know:
    1. Is there a shipping integration/partner which takes care of packaging too?
    2. Or if there is standalone partner integration available?

    You could use WooCommerce Dropshipping to notify suppliers of your products after an order has been placed:

    They can then fulfill the order based on your agreement with them.

    Nice one.

    To quickly understand, WooComm dropshipping, will pick(from supplier), PACK, ship(to customer). PACK being of most relevance in this context.

    @ananddevops Drop Ship is intended for resellers, distributors. The business still has to do the packing for those resellers/distributors.

    So dropship just brings the products from suppliers/manufactures etc to the business, without packing?

    Then biz packs it and runs the normal course of shipping, is that so?

    Yes,

    So my company, we make beauty products. I have multiple resellers across the world and they have my products on their website. When an order is placed on their website it sends me the order and takes it from our inventory and we ship directly to the customer, not our reseller.

    My staff and I have to do all the packing and shipping here. That’s all Drop Ship is.

    Ah! Like that. Way to go.

    Then drop shipping is not the solution I am looking for. But that brings to me to another question. – Can a order placed not be sent to the customer directly, but to the reseller instead? Does WooComm Dropshipping take care of that?

    That I’m not sure of but I couldn’t see why not. You may want to look at a Wholesale Plugin then. Essentially that’s what that would be. There’s a company in Australia I forget the name but man they built the best Wholesale Plugin I’ve ever seen. Order Page for wholesale customers who can login as a Wholesale User role and see different prices and order right there. Was pretty nice.
