Any problem with too many comments?

    I have a site with so many comments on many post (NOT SPAM), i am worried because some posts have more than 6000 comments already.

    Should i be worried?
    Does it have any side effect on the speed of my site?

    Reasons why i really dont want to delete them if not so necessary:
    The comments are more like testimonies which helps give new visitors proof of my services.

    Also i notice it helps in SEO, because some keywords which people get to my site sometimes are from the comments

    NB: i am using pagination for comments so its not like i have a very log list of comments
