    Hi,

this is the first time we use the this plugin, so we setup a free Brevo account to test and develop.
After this, we request at our client there API-key, to set it up.

All forms are away aka deleted!

And when we wanted to store the previous APi key again to view the forms, it was no longer visible in the Brevo backend and can only be deactivated or deleted.

Are we doing something wrong or is this really the case?

    bye
    Stefano

    Hi Stefano,

    Thank you for your message.

Yes, this is the expected behavior: when you remove or replace the API key in the Brevo plugin for WordPress, all data linked to that key within the plugin—including forms—is permanently deleted. This action is irreversible, and the data cannot be recovered, even if the same API key is re-entered later.

To avoid this in the future, we recommend only connecting the final API key from the start of the setup, especially when working in production.

Let us know if you have any other questions or need assistance with the new setup.

    Best regards,

    Alexis

    Thanks for the confirmation.

Perhaps this should be communicated somewhere and obviously in the plugin so that people know this is happening?
