I have contacted USPS to request for access, and received a service request number.
I am getting the following message after I added the password “API Authorization failure. User [ my user name] is not authorized to use API RateV4.“
I mostly ship 6×8 kraft envelope and most of everything I ship is under 2 ounces. We want open our store up internationally and we need rates to do that. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible, so I can start shipping.
Thank you for the screenshots and your willingness to further test the configuration. Again, I’m sorry that we are not managing to set up the plugin quickly in your store.
In the main plugin settings, you can enable the Debug Mode.
WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → USPS Live Rates
Enabling debug mode will allow you to see an error message on the checkout page (for the store administrator only) as to why the rates are not available.
Could you please enable debug mode and send the error message?
Thank you @tarzine, would you mind writing to us directly through the form: https://octolize.com/support/? The Pre-sale question option in the form allows sending us a message without a premium account.
This forum does not allow us to get more details about the configuration of your store, we would like to verify what the issue is due to.
I contacted USPS support and they said we have the API set up with the correct permissions so we should have everything we need. We also confirmed our API credentials and there is nothing else left to set up.
They can’t help us any further in order to get it to work.
This looks like an unrelated issue that we would have to analyze. This error could be due to server settings or security plugins that may affect the connection to the USPS API.
Could you also write to us via the contact form: https://octolize.com/support/? We’ll verify it out more thoroughly.
Both reports are being analyzed by our Support at octolize.com, so I’m marking this thread here as resolved. If you have additional questions, you can ask them here or in our email correspondence.
Hi @holyshitofthebible, sorry for the late reply, we did not receive proper notification.
What you report can usually be resolved by contacting the USPS itself (https://emailus.usps.com/s/web-tools-inquiry) and requesting access to the following APIs for your account:
RatesV4
IntlRateV2
At the same time, we are working on a new and improved way of authorization that will streamline this process of getting access.
