API Documentation

Hi there. Nice work with the plugin. I’m trying to find info on the “extensive api” but can’t find any. Is digging through the code the only way? I’m looking to:

1) add “name value pairs” to documents to associate documents with a sort of ID from my own app. I was thinking of perhaps a modified version of your “parent post” plugin… to have a metabox where user can select an ID from my app and assign it to the document.

2) Link to “new document” page with an ID (equiv to above)

3) I also need to be able to get a list of documents (array/json) associated by this ID to link to internally to them.

Please let me know where to find info to assist in accomplishing.
