Howdy! This issue has been present for the last few days and have not been able to find a fix / work around to get the plugin to push content to Apple News again. Please let me know what info you need from me. Thank you for your help.

There has been an error with the API: INVALID_DOCUMENT – Invalid URL: (keyPath components->1->components->11)

If you need assistance, please reach out for support on ww.wp.xz.cn or GitHub.

    Hi @kirknankβ€”

Can you please send me the JSON for the article in question via a pastebin.com link? You can get the JSON for the article by clicking on Apple News in the WordPress sidebar, then finding the article and clicking the Download link.

    Thanks.

To give further context, the plugin stopped publishing posts from March 20 – March 27. It recently began publishing to Apple News yesterday (I just noticed).

So for the articles that were not published, when I go directly into the post and try to update it by selecting/deselecting “Latest” or “Draft” in hopes it will populate in iCloud, I was getting the error I posted in the first message.

However, once I’m in the back end section of the plugin (where I can download JSON for the article) and select Publish, the articles are now populating in icloud / News Publisher. Oddly enough, I don’t see these older posts, but recently published posts showing up in the actual Apple News app.

I was able to successfully publish all the posts that did not post during that time frame mentioned above, except for the one that I sent you the pastebin link on. When I try and Publish from the back end section of the plugin, I still get the same error for that post.

As I look back into previous articles, I see some other posts that did not publish and when I try and publish them, get the same error.

    Thanks!

Here is a few more examples where this error occurs:

Just to follow up, I am still getting the same error on the various posts I added the pastebin code for above. There are more examples than these, but I figured 4 was enough πŸ™‚

    Hi @kirknankβ€”

I’m not seeing the empty URL in the JSON you provided, which makes me think that perhaps something is going wrong during the publish action that isn’t happening when you’re just downloading the JSON.

Can you turn on debug mode in Apple News > Settings and send the content of the email you receive via a Pastebin link, please?

    Ahaβ€”this is it:

    [predict likely outcomes]()

The link in the Markdown is pointing to an empty target, which Apple News doesn’t like.

I created an issue in GitHub to track progress on additional checks in the plugin to help avoid this problem: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/issues/350

After removing the blank hyperlink, it successfully published and is LIVE!

    Thank you!
