API Key

We need to use our own API Project credentials, yet the General Settings have different settings than what we are given in Google Analytics. I can do OAuth which gives me a client id, email address, and client secret and then I need to set the redirect uris which you do not have instructions for. If I do the Public API access it only gives me a key and not client id and client secret. If I combine the two I still get a redirect url problem. I do a Get Access Code and get this error “Error: redirect_uri_mismatch”

Im not sure if google analytics changed how things works or Im missing something. Any help would be appreciated! thanks!
