My MailChimp API never gives me a green check or a red x, it just circles. I have tried having a new API key made from MailChimp and tried it but it did not fix my problem.

So my sign up form on my sidebar for fabricfortheflock.com throws an error when someone tries to subcribe.

    Hello there,

Sorry for the troubles. Please try making sure you are pasting your MailChimp information as plain text, and that there are no extra characters being copied.

Let me know if that helps, if not you may be experiencing a plugin conflict.

I pasted it as plain text and that does not seem to have fixed the issue. It does not verify the key. Same error as before when trying to subscribe from the sidebar widget.

    Hello,

Alright thank you for trying. It sounds like you may be experiencing a plugin conflict preventing us from communicating with MailChimp. We’d like to you to try and isolate which it could be if any.

To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except MailChimp Forms by Optin Cat and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.

If you find a conflict with a plugin or theme, let us know what it was. If it’s popular software, and is updated, we will look into the possibility of patching the issue.

    Hey There,

Wanted to pop by once more before closing this. We haven’t hear back from you for about a week. I’ll come back by in a few days to mark this resolved if there is nothing else we can for you.

If you just need some more time to preform the above steps please let me know.
