• On updating to 6.8, I tried the “Stylebook” feature. When I clicked through to Appearance -> Design -> Styles I see a page that looks like this:

    The URL is https://mypersonalsite.com/path-to-wp-admin/site-editor.php?p=%2Fstylebook

First, this is not a wordpress.com account, it’s hosted on my own hosting service. I’ve never accepted donations, or used stripe, or installed any kind of e-commerce plugin on my site; I have Jetpack but all the monetization features are turned off.

Also, this modal can’t be dismissed unless I hit the “ESC” key. The “got it” button and “X” in the top right corner do nothing.

Tried backing out and returning, with the same result every time.

This text only appears in the plugin GiveWP. Have you activated it? Deactivate it and the text should be gone. Then you should let GiveWP support know.

I don’t have that plugin installed. Jetpack offers a Stripe donations block, but I haven’t activated that. And even so, why would it be appearing in that place?

Strange. However, if you already suspect Jetpack, deactivate this plugin. If it is gone, you would have to ask their support forum why this is appearing: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/jetpack/

If it is still displayed without the Jetpack plugin, deactivate all plugins as a test. Then the output must be gone. Then activate them one by one until the output is visible again – then you have found the guilty plugin.
