Is it possible to append/prepend sidebars to the default sidebar instead of replacing them?

Also, if I create 2 sidebars which have the same conditions, only one of them is shown. One seems to replace the other, while I expected that both would be shown.

For this to work you would probably also need to be able to sort the custom sidebars.

Is there an official channel to contribute code to this plugin?

  • Hello @jules-colle

I trust you are doing well!

The Custom Sidebars plugin can only replace the default theme’s sidebar. It allows showing different sidebars on different pages.

If your theme allows showing more than one sidebar, it will be possible to show both, so it depend on your theme’s template/layout.

Since your theme allows showing one sidebar, you can choose to show/hide some widgets on some pages, you can play with widget visibility options. Please see this screenshot:

There is no official channel I’m afraid. If you have any suggestions, regarding the plugin’s code, please feel free to open a thread in worpress.org forums to let us know.

    Kind regards,
    Nastia
