If I understand the Apple Pay solution in Payment Plugins for Stripe, Apple Pay can only be tested in Safari on a Mac or IOS with apple wallet configured. My question is when I go live will Apple Pay work on a PC with other browsers such as Chrome?

    Hi @idahojoe66

Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins.

My question is when I go live will Apple Pay work on a PC with other browsers such as Chrome?

The current integration requires that use of Safari. We are working on an updated integration where Apple Pay will be supported on other browsers such as Chrome. We don’t like to release big changes right before the big holiday rush so those updates will be coming after the holidays.

Over the years we’ve found that merchants prefer less changes leading up to the holidays.

    Kind Regards

Well that is a real bummer. I will stick to Stripe for Woocommerce until you have a fix.

If you’re currently developing an Apple Pay solution for non-Apple browsers like chrome, I have a recommendation. I would recommend that you implement the solution when Apple Pay is used a QR code like window opens and you scan the code withe camera on your iphone and it opens your apple wallet. That solution is very streamed lined.

@idahojoe66 Yes that is the solution that is in development.
