Apple pay Express Checkout
-
Hi Team,
Do you plan to add Apple Pay / Google Pay (when available) to checkout page as express checkout ?

Hi @tonuz
Mollie does not support Google Pay. But once Mollie supports this payment method, it will surely also be added to the Mollie plugin.
The Apple Pay (& PayPal) express option is available on the single product and Cart pages for now. We do have plans to also add this to the Block checkout page, and I may receive more details about a potential timeline in the coming week.
But there are currently no plans to add this to the old shortcode Checkout page.
Kind regards,
NiklasHello Niklas,
I saw on the 7.3.6 Beta this line :
- Feature – Render hook filter for Apple Pay and PayPal buttons
Is this related to my request ?
How could I test it with Beta installed ?
Regards,
AntoineHi Antoine
Sorry! This feature is not related to your request.
This allows you to modify the placement of the Apple Pay button on the single product and Cart pages with a filter. It is useful when e.g. you would like to display the Apple Pay button after the Add to Cart button. But the buttons are still not available on the Checkout page as an express option. The team is looking into adding this feature for the Block Checkout in a future update. I can’t put a finger on a date yet, though!
When you would like to see any specific feature in the plugin, I suggest getting in touch with the Mollie Support Team directly to share your feature ideas. The team is always happy about feedback to improve the plugin in a meaningful way.
Thanks!Kind regards,
NiklasHi Team,
Any update regarding this topic ?

Any update?
We are in the process of moving from Stripe to Mollie and I’m disappointed to find out that this is not a feature offered by Mollie.
Previously customers could skip entering their address, email and phone number by clicking a large ‘Apple Pay’ button on the checkout page. With Mollie, customers have to complete all fields, select Apple Pay as their payment method and then complete the checkout.
It kind of defeats the purpose of offering Apple Pay and just creates unnecessary friction. The Apple Pay direct buy button already works on Cart and Product pages, so I’m not sure why it can’t be added to the Checkout page too?
We intend to switch from Mollie to Stripe for this reason. I also think the cost of stripe is lower. what is your reason for switching from stripe to mollie?
We got better rates with Mollie, but that’s the only reason. We were eligible for custom rates because of our volume.
Hello Team,
Any news regarding this feature ?

AntoineHello
We are actively working on this.
Despite some initial delays, we have achieved significant milestones since our last update. We anticipate that proper Apple Pay express buttons, particularly for block-based checkout, will be ready in a few more months. Rest assured, they are on the way.Regards,
Femi.Few more months later… any update?
