    Hello,

    Thank you for this great plugin 🙂
    I am trying to create an integration of MC4WP with the pop up registration form that my theme has. I am not sure if that is possible. I have access to the html of the registration form but i am not sure if i am doing something wrong by using <label><input type="checkbox" name="mc4wp-subscribe" value="1" />Subscribe to our newsletter.</label>

    You can see my website online if you like and you can see directly how i place the code inside the form (top right corner on the website).

    Of course i have active the Custom integration with my Mailchimp List sync and i have set no to the other two options .

    Could you please give me some tips? 🙂

    Hey @honoluluman,

    Can you please let us know where we can test this pop-up? When I click on the “profile” icon on top right of your website, I see a pop-up but could not find our code in it.

    The code you shared is correct. Please let us know how to access the pop-up.

    When you click on the pop up, you will need to click on sign up (registration) button.
    There you will find the check box i have placed ‘I want to receive the news of Enostalgia’ which is the Custom integration.

    Hey @honoluluman,

    Thanks, I see it now. The code looks correct. I am not sure how this form handles the data, but for our plugin to work it needs to follow the correct WP recommended way.

    Can you please test the signup method and then go to the “MC4WP > Others” menu in your WordPress admin and share with us if there are any error messages in the log?

    Just tested and checked on “MC4WP > Others” but i dont get any error at all. Actually i dont get any info action. I am wondering if the form is actually using Buddypress actions, since this theme is bundled with buddypress. See here, it says that the pop up form uses buddypress verification emails for authentication. In the default buddypress registration page i get the subscribtion working normal as you can see.

    So if the pop up form is using buddypress, could we use a workaround code for that? I have tried to set <input type="checkbox" name="_mc4wp_subscribe_buddypress" value="1" /> but also didn’t seem to work.

    You can set it to “log everything” on Mailchimp for Wp > Other and then test again. If still nothing is showing in the log that would mean the sign up isn’t detected at all by our plugin. In that case you can switch to the custom integration method, like this: https://kb.mc4wp.com/add-sign-checkbox-custom-form/

    thank you @lapzor for your help. Unfortunately i dont get any logs so this means the sign up isn’t detected at all by your plugin.

    I have tried to include inside the form according to https://kb.mc4wp.com/add-sign-checkbox-custom-form/ the hidden input but i am still not getting any email

    Is this regarding the sign up form on your site, or another form? The sign up form has a mc4wp checkbox but it’s not a hidden field, you need to check the box to trigger it.
    do you see anything in the log now?

    thank you @lapzor and @hchouhan for your support.

    As you can see in the conversation, it is regarding the sign up form on the website. (I have the impression that the sign up form is using Buddypress actions.)
    According to https://kb.mc4wp.com/add-sign-checkbox-custom-form/ apart of the checkbox, i understood that i also have to add the field <input type="hidden" name="mc4wp-subscribe" value="1" />. You can see how i added both the checkbox and the hidden field inside the form https://pastebin.com/tQYh29bd (or you can see it live on the website.)

    Of course i have made tests by checking the box, but i don’t get any logs.

    Hey @honoluluman,

    It’s likely that our plugin is not detecting this form in which case it would not work with this BuddyPress integration. Do you have a standalone BuddyPress form (not a pop-up) where you can test if the integration works?

    thank you for your support.
    I have the standalone BuddyPress form that you can see here and after tests the plugin works fine there.

    But since i have a lot of people that actually only using the pop up form, i would really like to use also the plugin on the registration pop up form. I will try to contact the theme developers and ask them if they use the standar WP recommended way as you are mentioning above, and get back to you.

    Hey @honoluluman,

    Thanks for the update. It’s possible that the pop-up uses some other custom ways to submit data and it would not be possible for us to integrate our plugin with it.
